New CEO for BTE, current CEO takes on new rolewithin ASCEM

Bart van Melick

CEO Bart van Melick of precast concrete company BTE will focus entirely on ASCEM's binding agents activities from 1 January 2026, again in the role of CEO. Bas Anneveldt will become the new CEO of the BTE Group.

Van Melick has been CEO of the BTE Group since 2003 and has made a significant contribution to the development and growth of the organisation during that period. Within the ASCEM business unit, BTE has invested a great deal of time, research and energy in recent years in the development of INVIE, the low-carbon substitute for cement. At ASCEM, the development of INVIE is now entering a phase in which important next steps must be taken. These include the realisation of production facilities, the completion of testing and certification processes, and the implementation of a business model. INVIE is almost ready for upscaling and commercial application.

Anneveldt succeeds Van Melick as CEO of the BTE Group. He has been working for BTE since 2014, first as a consultant and, since 2018, as a director. During this period, he has managed various companies and was also responsible for various support departments. This makes him a familiar face within the organisation. Before joining BTE, he worked for many years at large construction companies such as Heijmans and BAM. Thanks to his extensive experience, Anneveldt is the ideal successor to ensure the further growth and strengthening of the BTE Group.

The BTE Group has precast concrete companies throughout the Netherlands and Germany. These are organised into various business units. The BTE Group includes companies such as De Meteoor (manufacturer of Stelcon ® slabs, among other things) in Rheden, Vebo Beton en Staal in Bunschoten, Romein in Dodewaard, Kemper in Tilburg, De Hamer in Nijmegen, Heumen and Waspik, and seven other companies.
